Privacy policy

DaVinciStitch LLC runs ReplaceMyBG and is responsible for your personal data. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Your photos and videos are private
- Only you can see or open them. They’re tied to your account, and every file is checked against your sign-in before it’s served. Other users can’t reach them, and there are no public links.
- They stay inside our own infrastructure. They’re stored in our private storage and processed by our own AI models on GPU servers that run only our code, over encrypted connections. They’re never sent to an outside AI service such as OpenAI or Google.
- We never use your photos, videos, descriptions or results to train AI models, ours or anyone else’s.
- We never sell or share them. The two infrastructure providers below host our storage and servers; they handle your files only on our instructions, to make your result.
- Our team doesn’t look at your files. The one exception is if you ask us to, for example in a problem report.
- They’re deleted automatically after 30 days, and you can delete any of them sooner from History.
What we collect
- Your account: name, email address and a hashed password (we never see the password itself).
- What you make: the photos and videos you upload, your AI scene descriptions and reference photos, and the results.
- Usage and billing: which tools you use, credits spent and added, your plan, and its renewal date.
- Payments: Stripe collects your card details. We never see or store them; we keep only a Stripe customer reference.
- Problem reports: what you write, the page you were on and your browser’s name and version.
- Technical data: IP addresses and request logs, used to keep the service secure and stop abuse.
Why we use it
To provide the service you signed up for (the contract with you), to take payments and keep accounting records (a legal obligation), and to keep the service secure and fix problems (our legitimate interests). We don’t sell your data or show ads, and nothing you upload or make is used to train AI models.
Who processes it for us
- Cloudflare: hosting, the database, file storage and the support mailbox.
- Runpod: the GPU servers that run our own AI models to make cutouts, AI scenes and videos. Files are processed there and not kept, and no third-party AI service sees them.
- Stripe: payments, subscriptions and invoices.
Some of these providers process data outside the UK, under safeguards such as the UK’s International Data Transfer Agreement or standard contractual clauses.
The WhatsApp community is optional and run on WhatsApp, under Meta’s terms. Other members can see your name and phone number there.
How long we keep it
- Photos, videos and results: 30 days, then deleted automatically. You can delete them sooner from History.
- Your account, usage and credit history: while your account is open.
- Payment and invoice records: as long as tax law requires, usually 6 years.
Cookies
We use one cookie to keep you signed in, and your browser stores which photos you have open. No analytics or advertising cookies.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or ask us to send it to you in a portable format. Email support@replacemybg.com and we’ll reply within a month. Deleting your account removes your account data and files, except the records we must keep by law.
If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk), or to the data protection authority where you live.
